August 1, 2026 Sales Tax Rate Changes

A few rate changes to report for August 1, 2026.

ARIZONA

Effective August 1, 2026, the city of Huachuca will increase the tax rate to 2.9%

ILLINOIS

Effective August 1, 2026, the NITA (formerly the Regional Transportation 
Authority) occupation and use tax rate will increase by 0.25% in Cook, 
DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties.

TENNESSEE

On May 5, 2026, voters in the City of Portland, located in Sumner County, voted to increase the local sales tax rate to 2.75%. The effective date of the tax rate increase is August 1, 2026.
